Design Software - Photoshop Elements - Personal Logo

Your objective is to create a "Personal Logo" for yourself using Photoshop.

1. Start with a GREENSCREEN image of yourself
2. Open a NEW CANVAS sized 300 x 300 72 DPI
3. COPY YOUR FACE
   1. Select an OVAL around your face
   2. Use the MOVE TOOL to drag your face over to the new canvas
4. ELIMINATE THE GREENSCREEN
   1. Use the MAGIC WAND tool to totally select the green background. Hold the SHIFT key to add to the selected area. Be sure every speck of green has been selected
   2. Hit DELETE to remove the green
5. Make a new background
   1. CHOOSE A COLOR that matches your webpage
   2. FILL THE BACKGROUND
6. Make a Ring
   1. Create a new layer above the FACE layer and call it RING
   2. Select a circular shape with the eliptical marquee - Fill it up with colour
   3. SELECT - MODIFY and CONTRACT the selection by 35 pixels and hit DELETE to cut out a hole
   4. Use EFFECTS and emboss the ring to make it look 3D
7. Pop the head on top of the ring
   1. Use the RECTANGULAR SELECTION to Select just the top of the head
   2. Use CTRL-J to "jump" the selection to a new layer
   3. Drag the new layer on TOP of the rind layer
